Review of the Division 2 results of matches played at Cowcliffe on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 November
Hanging Heaton A and Golcar Lib stretch their lead at the top of the Division 2 table as both won their matches this Wednesday against top competition. They played the third and fourth teams in the table, Marsh United and Lowerhouses A respectively. Hanging Heaton beat old rivals Marsh United with an emphatic 8-0 scoreline whilst Golcar Lib made it 5/5 wins beating Lowerhouses 6-2. The two leaders have now established an 8 points gap to the chasing pack
This was a second round of fixtures in two days on the Cowcliffe green and the top two teams were the only ones to win on both dates. There were two teams that didn't win on either date as the two Lindley teams made it 5 defeats on the trot this season as both went down to 2-6 defeats in the latest matchday. Lindley Lib B went down to Milnsbridge A and Lindley BC B lost out to Clayton West which enabled the two winners to put some daylight between themselves and the drop zone teams.
