Veterans League
Week 2 of the 6-Man League season with five Division 1 teams looking to build on their opening day wins. All part of a quick preview of the fixture programmes for all four divisions this Monday.

Very different opening day experiences for last season's top two teams in Division 1. Champions Marsh United A lost 1-6 away to Skel Windmill A and they will be looking to open their 2025 account this week at home to Netherton Con A. Last year's runners-up were Waterloo who had the top score last Monday when overcoming Brockholes A 7-0. They will be looking to build on that when they travel to play Thongsbridge A this week.

Last week three Division 2 teams won their opening matches 6-1 to go level top in the first table of the season. This week, two of those teams face each other as Broad Oak host Crosland Moor. At the foot of the table four teams are separated by one point. This week two of those four face each other as Longwood entertain Golcar Lib.

Almondbury Lib will expect to build on their opening day 7-0 win over Elland C&BC with another win this time away at Lindley Lib B. Holmfirth B begin their Division 3 season this week when they travel to play Linthwaite Hall. After a great start for Greenhead Park A last week when they scored their first win at the new home of Thorpe Green, they now have a week off.

Only two teams winning last week get to face each other this week as leaders Hemplow B have to go to play Skel Windmill B. At the foot of the table two teams with zero points go up against each other. One of those teams, New Mill B, didn't play last week so they have an excuse but they have to play Greenhead Park B at Thorpe Green. A difficult task for Brockholes C who have to travel to play Shepley B who had a good 5-2 away win at Thongsbridge C last Monday.
