Winter League
The new team deadline passes and 7 new teams have signed up to join the Winter League for the 2024-25 season starting in October. The 7 new teams are Holmfirth, Elland WMC, Hanging Heaton B, Kirkheaton C&BC B, Lockwood C, Meltham B and Cowcliffe C.
This expands the League to 61 teams growing from a first season in 2020 involving 14 teams and it continues to be the fastest-growing bowling league in the country according to Bowlsnet. Coming up to a fifth season and now looking forward to a season of eight divisions with two new host greens from Cowcliffe Lib and Lockwood Con joining the League.
The Management Committee is scheduled to meet this Friday (5 July) to discuss the formation of the divisions for the coming season which will then be placed before the League's Annual General Meeting on 31 July for ratification.
