I am grateful to Dave Parkin for compiling and sharing this comprehensive list of qualifying competitions for the BCGBA Champion-of-Champions end-of-season competition.

Is it all doom & gloom? You'd might think so if a regular reader of Bowling groups. Here's a breakdown of the Top 24 Open comps (not Festivals or BCGBA events) that are C of C qualifiers.

As well as playing for entry fees, bowlers are playing for sponsor's cash. Hard earned cash raised by competition organisers & clubs that run these events.There are a number of other events that would easily get into this list (Rastrick & Lindley BC to name 2 who have £1000+)

That makes at least 11 Yorkshire comps in the Top 26
