Bowling News
There were two bowlers representing Yorkshire in the Finals of the Ladies County Averages competition played on Sunday 5 August. Both of those representatives came from Huddersfield and both went through to the later stages of the competition. This competition was first staged in 2010 and since then there has only been one Yorkshire winner and that was Fern Beaumont in 2018. That hasn't changed this year.
Marsh United bowler Lynn Carter progressed to the quarter-finals where she was beaten by the eventual title winner Suzie Lawson (pictured) from Lancashire. Farnley Tyas bowler Sophie Brown went one round further before losing in the semi-finals to the eventual runner-up Alyson Evans of North Warwickshire
