Bowls Big Weekend is a national event to encourage clubs to open their door to new bowlers by giving them free taster sessions to learn what the sport is all about. It is a joint promotion involving Lawn Bowls and Crown Green Bowling Clubs nationwide. There has been no take up by Huddersfield clubs.
The 2025 event takes place over the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend and more than 700 clubs have already signed up to be part of the event. None of those 700+ are from Huddersfield!! The closing date for clubs to participate this year is next Monday 24 March.
