It may not be crown green but it is bowling of a sort and is live on BBC2 television. The annual World Indoor Bowls Championships from Potter's Resorts in Norfolk is live on national television from next Monday (15th January) and all that week.


From 10am today and all this week watch it live on the internet on the BBC iPlayer or the Potters Holidays website.


The Championships actually started last Friday for 17 days with rounds played all this week before the BBC2 coverage starts on Monday 15 January. All the results since Friday and online live coverage all this week from 10am each day on BBC iPlayer and Potters Holidays website.


There are five major titles to be won over the Championship fortnight and these are:

  • Singles Championship

  • Ladies World Matchplay

  • Pairs World Matchplay

  • Mixed Pairs World Matchplay

  • Under-25 Singles Championship

Although not a great lover of flat green bowling compared to our bowling I usually watch these competitions and enjoy the talent of the best bowlers.

Recently there been an international competition on U Tube, The Atlantic Seniors from Cyprus - click onto U Tube and it’s still showing games although the standard is no where near the World Indoor Bowls.
