Preview of the rearranged Division 7 fixtures to be played at Netherton Con on Tuesday
The first batch of rearranged fixtures to be played is the four Division 6 matches from last Thursday when the heavy snowfall saw 7 rounds of fixtures being postponed over 4 days. Netherton Con is the venue and we are hopeful that the matches will go ahead with no further interference from the elements.
Almondbury BC B are the clear leaders and they will be looking to extend their 8 point lead at the top and 5 match winning record to the start of the campaign. Springwood C stand in their way this Tuesday and have done well to get into 4th place after only one win to date. However they are 20 points behind the leaders and it is difficult to forsee anything other than another win for the leaders.
Mirfield A are enjoying their second season in the League having won 4 of their 5 matches with an opening day defeat to Brockholes B the only blip on their record to date. This week they take on a New Mill C team still looking for their first win of the season. Only the table toppers have beaten Brockholes B this season and they will expect to keep that run going when they meet an Outlane side who, after a slow start to the season, have won their last two matches albeit against the bottom two teams in the table.
The final fixture of the day sees two lowly teams battling it out to get out of the drop zone. Bottom-of-the-table Huddersfield Recreation Club B and fellow strugglers, Netherton Con B, haven't won since the opening day of the season and both will be looking to address that failing and move out of danger of booking the bottom two places in the table.
Our preview of the Division 8 fixtures to be held at Lockwood Con on Tuesday will be online first thing tomorrow,
