Denby Dale lose for first time this season

Winter League

Review of the Division 3 rearranged matches played on Friday 29 November at Springwood

Third time lucky in getting this set of Division 3 fixtures completed after weather enforced postponements curtailed earlier attempts. However it wasn't at all lucky for the leaders Denby Dale as they lost for the first time this season going down 2-6 to New Mill B. They still hold a 12 points lead but that could be reduced as we await the completion of the Lowerhouses B v Thorpe Green C fixture with the pairs game to be played on Monday morning. I don't know the outcome of the two singles games yet but all will become clear on Monday.

Brockholes A took full advantage of the leaders stutter by beating Lockwood Con A 8-0 to move into contention and making them unbeaten in their last four fixtures. The third match saw Huddersfield Recreation Club draw 4-4 with Springwood A to lift them off the bottom with a greater Aggregate For total than Lockwood Con A. It took a 59-57 aggregate win to add the two points to complete a draw and that gives them hopes of overhauling the next two teams, Thorpe Green C and Springwood, who are now within their sights.
