Review of the Division 3 fixtures played at Springwood on Wednesday 11 December
Denby Dale return to winning ways after a two-week drought of points with their first two defeats of the season. The bonus of beating nearest challengers, Lowerhouses B, by 6-2 tempered the impact of the two-week lapse. A 16-points safety gap to the threat to their promotion chances also helps the recovery process.
Brockholes A seem to be running out of steam with losing to two teams below them in the table, the latest being to Huddersfield Recreation Club has seriously damaged their promotion hopes. They have now been overtaken by New Mill B who extended their unbeaten run to four matches when beating Springwood A 6-2 who in turn were making it five in a row without a win.
Lockwood Con A also had a good 6-2 win over Thorpe Green C to move in on one of the two teams just above them and in striking range and there are now 5 teams within 6 points of each other and all in danger of taking the second relegation place.
