Review of the Tuesday results in Division 2 of the Winter League
A 4-4 draw between the top two teams in Division 2 enabled third-placed Golcar Lib to step in between them and move into the second promotion place. Hanging Heaton and Lowerhouses A both preserved their unbeaten records by sharing the points in a 4-4 draw. Hanging Heaton only dropped 2 points winning one leg and losing the other two to 20. That opened the door for Golcar Lib to move into contention with an 8-0 win over Clayton West and they now sit between the previous top two and that left Clayton West nearer the bottom than the top as the pace begins to tell.
Marsh United beat Lindley Lib B 6-2 to retain 4th place but now move in closer to the leading teams. That sees only 4 points separating the top 4 teams, keeping things very interesting.
At the other end things are beginning to look bleak for the two Lindley teams as both have only collected 2 points from their opening three fixtures and only a better 7-points 'Aggregate For' total keeps Lindley BC B ahead of their Lindley Lib B neighbours.
