Division 4 leaders lose 3-5 but stay top

Winter League

Review of the Division 4 fixtures played at Primrose Hill Lib on Monday 16 December

Slaithwaite won the top of the Division 4 clash but did not dislodge Rastrick from top spot. The rare 5-3 scoreline coming about as Slaithwaite won the game count 2-1 but a drawn aggregate score (50-50) meant that both teams collected one more additional point. That took Rastrick on to 49 points and 6 points ahead of Slaithwaite. That means the gap between third-placed Milnsbridge B and the second promotion place has lengthened this week to 5 points after the Milnsbridge B side and Primrose Hill Lib shared the points 4-4 from their drawn match.

Netherton Con A had a 3rd win on the trot when beating Linthwaite Hall 8-0 to reverse places with them. Netherton Con A going 5th after a third successive win whilst Linthwaite Hall suffered a fourth consecutive defeat and are now 7th and in the second relegation place. Dalton remain at the foot of the table after a 2-6 defeat to Thorpe Green B and haven't won a match since the opening day of the season.
