Review of the Division 7 matches played on Thursday 6 February

After Thursday's fixtures the Division 7 scene becomes even cloudier as 4 teams are still in contention for the 2nd promotion spot with 3 of them on the same points total. A 6-2 win for Hanging Heaton B, coupled with a 4-4 draw between Kirkheaton Con B and Marsh Lib left all three teams on 56 points. That leads to the 'Aggregate For' totals being used to determine the running order and that indicates how important every point is with 658-657-632 being the totals of the leading three. Tucked in behind that trio sit the homesters from RUFC on 52 points which keeps them in range but they will need to improve on their form as they haven't won a match since the first week in November.

Matters are settled at the other end of the table with Broad Oak A and Lockwood Con B confirmed as the two teams to be relegated. The title of Top Division 7 Bowler rests between two Cowcliife teammates. Either Debra Farrar or Lynn Rynham will take the title with just two matches left to be played. Should Debra as captain decide to select Lynn and herself in the pairs, as they usually do, for their last two matches then that will guarantee her the title of Top Bowler. Bit of a a dilemma for Debs!
