Winter League
The Division 7 Winter Cup Qualifying Round was played at Huddersfield RUFC on Thursday with 14 entrants from which two emerged to progress through to the Round of the Last 16. Full details and listing of all the results and all the qualifiers to date are below.
Interesting scenario played out in the meeting of two Kirkheaton Con B teammates, Giles Massey and Leon Wilczinski. Close scoring all the way through their match to determine one of the Last 16 places came to a climax at All-But Across. Two woods in tight contention to send their owner through to the Last 16 requiring a measure to separate them. However the measure failed to separate them and a dead-end was called by the measurers so an additional end was played which Leon Wilczinski won on a 21-20 final scoreline.

Just one more qualifying round to be played and that covers bowlers from Divisions 1 and will be played next Wednesday (19th) after which we will have the full line-up for the Round of the Last 16. The draw for the Last 16 will be made at Milnsbridge BC after the final qualifying round has been completed.
