Fantasy League leader pegged back

Updated: Jul 28

Well Bowled Fantasy League

Mike Ralph headed the Fantasy League for the first time at the beginning of May and has sat at the top of the pile for 13 weeks since then. That lead, which has been up to 25 points at one stage, has dropped to single figures for the first time in 11 weeks as the chasing pack are snipping at his heels with Debra Neve leading the charge and just 9 points behind our long-term leader.

It may be to do with the fact that there are only results from the 6-Man League to add to those totals this week with no 10-Man League fixtures or maybe the pressure is starting to tell. In another week the Transfer Market opens and our leader still has one of his three transfers available to him. Will he use it wisely? Will he use it at all?

How the Fantasy League works:

Entrants pick a team in each of the 8 Divisions in the Veterans 10-man and 6-man leagues. Every point their 8 selections win goes towards the individual's total. Most points at the end of the season wins the prizes.

How the Transfer Market works

Entrants are allowed 3 transfers over the course of the season. There are transfer days at the end of each calendar month when punters can swap an under-performing team out and replace with a different team from the same division. They can swap as many as they like out in any month but they only have a total of 3 transfers that can be used during the season.

The 2024 Prize Fund

A season-long competition with a £100 Well Bowled Sales Voucher to the end-of-season winner. Then there is £40 for the runner-up and £20 for third place.
