Well Bowled Fantasy League
Hazel Rangeley has held top place in the Winter version of our unique Fantasy League competition since 24 November and her lead has varied between 3 and 17 points over that time but now that lead has evaporated altogether and we have a new leader.
Marsh United bowler Andrew Carter has taken a one-point lead over Hazel with just 2 weeks to go in the season. Simon Neve looms large in the rearview mirror of the top two and is just a further point behind. So 2 points separate the top three contenders and that means we need to dust off the records to uncover the Tie-Breaker guesses from our leading contenders.
The Tie-Breaker only comes into play should there be a tie for any of the top three places where Well Bowled Sales Vouchers are given to the end-of-season top three. That tie-breaker was selected by each entrant at the start of the season where they had to nominate the total points to be collected over the season by the eventual winners of the Winter League Division 1 competition.
Those Tie-Breaker guesses are as follows: Andrew Carter - 103 Hazel Rangeley - 87
Simon Neve - 94
The top team in the Division 1 table is Lower Hopton and their points total is currently 60. With only two matches still to be played, you can add a further maximum of 16 points to that total to make 76 so that would make Hazel favourite in the event of a tie for any position.
The plot thickens and so we go on to another week where every point really does count.
