Preview of Tuesday's final day fixtures in Division 2 with two titles still up for grabs

We have a fitting climax to an epic season in the Division 2 title chase with a clash of the top two teams unbeaten records and either can still finish top of the pile. Hanging Heaton A take on Golcar Lib with both teams having won 10 of their fixtures to date and drawn the other three, one of which was the meeting of the two teams in mid-December. The balance is with the Hanging Heaton team who have a 6-points lead meaning that Golcar Lib have to win this match by 8-0 to take the title. Any other final score would see the Hanging Heaton side crowned Champions. The consolation to the losers will be the solace that they will still be promoted.

The race for the Division 2 Top Bowler will also be decided on the final day and again Hanging Heaton are in the frame to claim that honour as well. Chris Blakely and Andy Mitchell both sit on 10 wins apiece with just 7 Aggregate Difference points separating them with both having played in all 13 fixtures this season. Sat immediately behind the leading two is Golcar Lib bowler Nigel Mitchell leading a group of 5 bowlers on the same number of wins total. Again it would probably take a whitewash win for Golcar Lib to change that running order but it is still possible as Nigel has a better Aggregate Difference than any other contender in that contest. All building up to a fitting finale to a fine first season on the new host green at Cowcliffe.
