Review of the Division 7 results from matches played on Thursday 5 December
A big first win of the Division 7 season for Broad Oak A when they shocked the host team of Huddersfield RUFC by beating them 6-2. This revived the Broad Oak's hopes of avoiding relegation as they crept 6 points closer to Meltham B who went down 0-8 to Cowcliffe B. That combination of results also saw the Cowcliffe team stretch their lead at the top to 8 points ahead of the Rugby Club.
That defeat for the Rugby Club also brought Kirkheaton Con B into the promotion equation after they beat Hanging Heaton B 6-2 to go above their opponents and into third position although still 10 points off the second promotion place. Lockwood Con C continue their quest to win a match after going down 2-6 to Marsh Lib and they remain firmly rooted to the foot of the table.
