The Team KO 'Battle of the Big Boys' went the way of the defending competition Champions, Longwood, when they beat the Division 1 Champions. Lowerhouses, 134-115 to progress through to the last 16. Things don't get any easier for them as they now have to meet Golcar Lib A in the next round. The Golcar Lib A team sit in 2nd position in the Division 1 table, just one place behind Longwood but with a 5 point handicap advantage.

There were a number of higher division casualties (highlighted in red text below) with half of the Division 1 teams eliminated at the first stage but notably all last year's four semi-finalists remain in contention in this year's competition.

Looking ahead to the Round of the Last 16 we note the inclusion of an all-Lindley Lib tie with both of their teams progressing to produce this inter-club event but will they be playing on their own green or on go up against each other.a neutral one?

As well as the Longwood v Golcar Lib A match there is only one other all-Division 1 Last 16 meeting as Lockwood Con A and Cowcliffe go head-to-head on Thursday 1 May.
