Review of the Division 8 matches played at Lockwood Con on Tuesday 26 November

Tuesday's Division 8 fixtures at Lockwood Con had a wonderful blue sky backdrop as you can see from the photographs below. That helped everyone to shake off the blues of last week when all bowling was cancelled. Golcar C&BC continue to lead the way with a 6-2 win over Linthwaite Hall B but it was the Lockwood Con homesters who caught the eye with an 8-0 whitewash win over fellow promotion challengers, Mirfield B. That was a real setback for the Mirfield side and they now find themselves 10 points off the promotion places.

A 6-2 win over Kirkheaton C&BC B for Cowcliffe C wasn't enough for them to hang on to second place but they are level on points with Lockwood Con C and the teams are only separated by a better 33-313 Aggregate For difference.

A first win of the season for Holmfirth over Broad Oak B by 6-2 pushed them up to join the Broad Oak team and Mirfield B on the same 20 points marker. All that leaves the leaders 12 points clear followed by five teams separated by 10 points who will all consider themselves to be contenders for the second promotion place.
