Winter League

Review on the Division 7 fixtures played on Thursday 24 October and more photos

The sun was shining, short-sleeves and shorts being the dress of the day as the weather disassociated itself from the title of the competition - the Huddersfield Winter League.

Hanging Heaton B are one of three new teams new to the League and appearing in Division 7 in their inaugural season. Unbeaten after three matches but having drawn two of those they sit third in the latest table. The latest 4-4 final score being against Marsh Lib, another new team in the League with the same number of points as Hanging Heaton B. The two teams have the same 'Aggregate For' totals and are only separated by the 'Aggregate Difference' totals.

The host team, Huddersfield RUFC, continue to set a hot pace having now won their opening three fixtures. Cowcliffe are hanging on with three wins and are just two points behind the leaders as both teams knocked up 8-0 wins this week.

Lockwood Con B are really struggling to match the pace of the other teams and have lost all their opening three matches all by the same 0-8 scoreline. Broad Oak A have made a poor start to the season and have also lost all of their first three matches but have picked up 4 points to keep them clear, for now, of the bottom spot.
