Bowling News
Recently we told you about a new facility provided by the BCGBA to help clubs establish areas to address within their organistaions. The Club Health Checker promised to provide clubs with an assessment report on their requirements after completing a 30-minute questionnaire.
A member of one of our clubs took up the offer and completed the questionnaire and has provided this feedback as well as a full copy of the Assessment Report they received at the end of this exercise. The name of the individual and club are withheld at the wish of the participant who takes up the story from here.
I completed the questionnaire whilst on holiday in a rush and so some of my answers may not have been as accurate as if I’d done it carefully. It took me about 15 minutes to do it. Most questions I had a good knowledge of the answers. To accurately answer all questions I should have consulted others
I was interested in what kind of report I’d get back and was amazed it came back in a few minutes. Many of the recommendations are correct and some would not be difficult to implement e.g. a welcome pack for new members.
Below are a couple of the summary pages from the report to give you a flavour of the areas covered. A copy of the full 16-page report is at the foot of this posting for you to download and read at your leisure. The report concludes by giving you the contact details of the nearest Development Officer to help you take the action list forward. Amazingly that Officer is in the North-East, Yorkshire doesn't have a named Development Officer!
