It seems only yesterday when we persuaded John and his team from Lindley WMC to move to Lindley BC because we’d heard they were good drinkers!! John quickly proved his value to us by joining the Committee and being prepared to do anything from running the bar, to cutting the green, to getting prices to do jobs from his many contacts - always at a cheaper price than we could have achieved. We could all do with a John to help run a bowling club.

As Bill says above, he took over the running of the £2,600 competition which has put Lindley on the bowling map.

Rest in peace John and condolences to all your family.

Philip of Lindley
