Preview of the Division 6 fixtures scheduled for Thursday 5 December at Netherton Con
The halfway point of the Division 6 season and Almondbury BC B look to build on their 12 points promotion lead they have at the top of the table and on course to swap places with their Division 5 A team colleagues. This week they take on an Out;lane team that has won 3 of their last 4 matches as they pull away from the drop zone.
The second promotion place looks to be destined to either Mirfield A or Brockholes B and Thursday's meeting of the two protagonists could go a long way to determining the outcome of that little battle. This is a rerun of the opening day round of fixtures when Mirfield A suffered their only defeat this season when going down to Brockholes B. The Mirfiled side would desparately like to reverse that result and extend their lead over their rivals which currently stands at 6 points.
We have a bottom of the table clash as the bottom two teams meet up and Huddersfield Recreation Club will be aiming to repeat their only win of the season which was against New Mill C. Both teams will be watching the outcome of the Springwood v Netherton Con B encounter where the result will set the points total for the two strugglers if they harbour any thoughts of escaping the drop.
