The Yorkshire Ladies team completed a BCGBA Double by matching the Men's Team achievement of winning the Senior County Team competition again against a Shropshire team yesterday.
The combined effort of the Home and Away leg teams were required to ensure the title comes back to Yorkshire with a 76 aggregate advantage (438-372). The home team won 9 of the 12 games to provide an 82-point lead and the away team mustered 4 winners but the Tobin twins clocked up 21-4 and 21-5 wins combined with no Yorkshire player scoring less than 14 kept the deficit down to 6. Both totals added together provided an emphatic win for the Yorkshire team.
Congratlations ladies and what a great advert for bowling in Yorkshire to win the most prestigious competitions in Mens and Ladies crown green bowling.
