Last 2 Winter Cup qualifiers

Winter League

The final two qualifiers for the 2025 Winter Cup are now known after the Division 1 Qualifying Round held at Milnsbridge BC yesterday. The two qualifiers now progress through to the Round of the Last 16 to be held at Netherton Con on Sunday 30 March starting at 11.00am. Finals Day for the final eight pairs will be held at the same venue exactly one week later on Sunday 6 April. The story from yesterday is all in the results and photographs below.

The headline from the day being Pete Fuller's run of results beating three bowlers from the top 10 in the Division 1 Top Bowler averages. He played four rounds in total, the only bowler to do that on the day and played superbly throughout to take a deserved place in the Round of the Last 16. He is joined by Cowcliffe's Derrick Hewitt who beat Andy Wike the only Division 1 Top 30 bowler to go all season unbeaten until yesterday.
