The 3rd of the Qualifying Rounds for the Lindley BC £2,000 was held last night with two more qualifiers progressing through to the July 30 Finals Night. Last night Neil Slattery and Gareth Coates joined Graeme Wilson, Chris Kelly, Craig Gant and Owen Jackson who have all progressed through to Finals Day on 30 July.
The final pairing of Jack Dyson versus Neil Slattery was a real cliff-hanger with Dyson holding a 20-14 lead and seemingly set for a straight-forward qualification to Finals Night. Slattery had different ideas and a grandstand finish with three 2's and a single put him firmly in the frame. This wasn't the game of the night though as the Round 2 pairing of Gareth Coates and Callum Wraight produced a match of the highest caliber and a 21-20 outcome for Coates on his way to Finals Night qualification.
