Review of the Division 5 fixtures played on Wednesday at Lindley Lib
The Lindley Lib A and B teams may be struggling to get a point never mind a win but the C team have made a tremendous start to their Division 5 season on their own green. A whitewash 8-0 home win over their nearest rival was a great tonic for the club at this time. Jackson Bridge were on the wrong end of that scoreline which ended their unbeaten start to the season. That means that the Lindley Lib team have the division's only unbeaten record and a 10-points lead already.
That result pegged Jackson Bridge backwards and they are in a three-way tie for the second promotion place along with Kirkheaton C&BC A and Elland WMC all on 14 points. Kirkheaton C&BC A and Elland WMC both had 6-2 wins which left their opponents, Paddock I&C and Springwood B in the two relegation places although only 2 points separate the bottom four teams. Milnsbridge C had a welcome first win of the season when beating and overtaking Almondbury BC A by 6-2.
