Linthwaite Hall complete Division 6 double

The Division 6 Champions are Linthwaite Hall are seen below with the Founder's Shield Trophy presented prior to the start of the final round of League fixtures last Tuesday. Well done and Congratulations to them.

Then they made it a double by taking the Top Bowler award as well. Below is a photograph of the top two bowlers in Division 6 this season as they go into the final match of the season against each other. They are seen with the Treasuer's Trophy which was to go to the eventual winner of their final match and the title. Jean Winchcombe (Linthwaite Hall) and John Belfield (New Mill B) finished in that order as Jean's final day 21-14 win clinched the title for her. Congratulations to both bowlers on a good season for both.

On the matters at the other end of the table Kirkheaton Con B joined Mirfeild B by dropping through the relegation trapdoor and will be in Division 7 next season. However the Mirfield team signed off in style by beating the host club's representatives 6-2 to clock a 4th win in the second half of the season after recording no wins at all until December.

Bob Haigh had a busy day presenting the trophy to the Linthwaite Hall team and then taking the relevant photos and then a few early action shots from the final day of the League season all of which are captured below.
