Veterans League
This Thursday it is Finals Day in the Lower Divisions Trophy where the final eight bowlers will be up for the competition which is open to bowlers in the 6-Man League and bowlers from teams in Divisions 3, 4 and 5. It all starts at Ravensknowle Park from 1.30pm.
Only one former winner of the competition is in the last eight and that is Chris Sykes of Slaithwaite. However the David Brown Sports pair. Mick Wenzel and Derek Frost, that won the Over-70's Pairs KO are also in among the quarter-finalists so plenty of good bowling expected. The draw will be made on the day.
