Veterans League
The Poll started yesterday on your views on the proposed changes to the Veterans League Rule Book in introducing £10 fines for non-compliance with 5 new rules. The voting shows that should that trend be continued in the real vote at the Half-Year Meeting then only 2 of the 5 proposed changes would receive the two-thirds majority required to introduce any new rule.
VOTING TO DATE
This is what the proposed changes are all about. Read it, then add your vote to the poll which is totally anonymous and will close at 9pm on Thursday.
On the agenda for the Veterans League Half-Year Meeting next month are a number of proposed rule changes. Fourteen of them have been proposed by the Management Committee of which five involve introducing £10 fines for non-compliance with the rules.
We hope that all the club representatives are consulting their club members before casting their votes at the Half-Year Meeting but here is an opportunity for you to pass on the thinking of the club bowler about what you really think about these proposals.
We are holding a quick poll on how many of those 5 fines you think are totally justified. Vote for as many or as few as you like using the form below but first here is a quick summary of those 5 proposed rule changes. Which can you support?
Bye-Laws
(Bye-law 6): This proposes an increase from £5 to £10 to the fine to be levied against clubs not represented at any General Meeting.
Match Play Rules
(Match Play Rule 2b): This proposes that any club not providing the BCGBA number and Date of Birth of bowlers to be registered shall be fined £10.
(Match Play Rule 3): Any postponed match not played within 28 days of the date of the original fixture will result in both teams being fined £10.
(Match Play Rule 8): Any club failing to submit their result to Bowlsnet by the day after a match or failing to verify that result within 2 days of the match shall be fined £10 for each such occurrence.
Knock-Out Competitions
(General Rule e): Clubs of neutral greens that fail to provide access to toilet facilities shall be fined £10.
Now vote by using the form below to share your views on which of these fines you support and which you don't think should go any further. Select all 5 or as many as you are comfortable with.
All voting is totally anonymous. The system will only allow you to VOTE once but you can VIEW the results as many times as you like.
SUBMIT your answers and then click the GOT IT button and scroll down to VIEW the results to date and then scroll down again to ADD any comments you may have on any aspect of these five proposals.
