Jane Hollingworth of Marsh United was the last Yorkshire bowler in the BCGBA Ladies Merit Finals Day played in Cumbria on Saturday. Jane won 4 matches to reach the Semi-Finals where she lost to the losing finalist Cheryl Caswell from Shropshire. Cheryly in fact had to beat three of the six Yorkshire representatives to reach the Final. Four of the six Yorkshire qualifiers progressed through to the Round of the Last 16 including the last two holders of the title, Andrea Buckley (2023) and Chloe Hirst (2022).
Defending Champion, Andrea Buckley was on fire in the opening two rounds winning to 5 each time, a score that was never beaten all day. The title eventually going to Linda Williams, who was one of the four Wales qualifiers, as she beat Cheryl Caswell 21-10 in the Final.
