Preview of the Division 4 fixtures scheduled for Monday 18 November at Primrose Hill Lib
Only 4 weeks into the Division 4 season and we have already had 3 different teams leading the way in the table. Linthwaite Hall A are the latest incumbents but they need to be aware of the threat of a 4th table topper emerging after this week's fixtures. Rastrick sit in 3rd position presently and are only 2 points behind the leaders with a match against bottom-of-the-table Thorpe Green B this Monday.
Second placed Primrose Hill Lib are on the same 20 points mark alongside Rastrick but have a more difficult-looking task against deposed leaders Slaithwaite. No one should write off Slaithwaite's chances of reclaiming top spot either as they are settling in well after last season's promotion as the Division 5 runaway Champions.
However it is Linthwaite who currently reside in the top place and they are unlikely to give that up lightly and it may need a better team than this week's opponents, Dalton, to cause any stutter in their charge to a second consecutive promotion.
Netherton Con A are one of the 3 teams to have held the table lead this season after winning their first two matches. They have subsequently gone off the boil by losing their next two fixtures and are now sitting in the second relegation place. This Monday they take on the team immediately above them in the table, Milnsbridge B and will be looking to return to the form that enabled them to begin the season so positively.
