Monday results & Wednesday preview

A review of Monday's Division 5 results and a preview of the Wednesday fixtures

Lindley Lib C remain on track to become the first team in any of the eight Divisions to clinch promotion after a 6th consecutive victory. This time it was the Springwood B team on the wrong end of an 8-0 hammering which leaves them 10 points adrift of safety with 6 matches left to play. With a match against the Division's form team, Milnsbridge C, coming up they will need to improve greatly to reduce that gap. The Milnsbridge C team are unbeaten in their last four matches after Monday's 4-4 draw with Elland WMC interrupted their 3-match winning run.

Big match coming up for the Elland team as they play Jackson Bridge on Wednesday who sit one place but 4 points ahead of them in the table. Jackson Bridge made it 5 wins from 6 matches when edging it past Kirkheaton C&BC A courtesy of a 57-56 aggregate advantage.

Almondbury BC A could be joining them after narrowly losing out 2-6 but only 49-52 on the aggregate and they stay settled in the second relegation place. There is an important fixture on Wednesday for the Almondbury team when they take on the team one place above them in the table, Kirkheaton C&BC A.

The leaders show no signs of flagging as things continue to go their way and it wouild be a major shock if Paddock I&C were to dent that winning record on Wednesday.
