More start dates for 2 local leagues

Two more local leagues have published their fixture programmes for the coming season and that includes the Huddersfield Saturday League. The neutral greens have still to be added but the start date is now known as Saturday 12 April with the 2.00pm start time except for the Binns Cup competition.

The Subscription Cup is now an 11-team competition after dropping down to 9 teams last season with the total number of 10-man teams up one to 46 for the coming season. It is a staggered start as the Binns Cup matches don't start until Saturday 3 May and with a shuffle of teams the Taylor Cup has disappeared altogether.

Last year the 8-man leagues forming the Binns Cup and Taylor Cup competitions had 9 teams in each and with two teams lost there is just one division this year, the Binns Cup. With 16 teams in it they will play each other just once so a 15-match season. Hence the later start date and the season is due to finish by the end of August.

The opening list of fixtures scheduled for Saturday 12 April is shown below or follow the link for each league to get the full season-long update. The Colne Valley League has also just published their fixtures which shows a reduction in team numbers to 18 teams, one less than last year.

That just leaves four more leagues to share their fixtures - the Works League, Liberal League, Huddersfield Juniors and the Don & Dearne for the full set. Here are the starting dates we are aware of, shown in starting date order.
