Review of the rearranged Division 1 fixtures played on Monday 9 December
Thorpe Green A take over at the top of the Division 1 table and become the third different team in the last three weeks to sit proudly in the top place. The other two being New Mill A and Lower Hopton who met on Monday with Lower Hopton coming out on top 6-2 which was sufficient to nudge the New Mill side off the top spot.
That left Thorpe Green A to do the business in their meeting with Lindley BC A which they duly did winning 6-2 to take a two-points lead at the top. Four points between the top four teams means that we are likely to have more movements between the teams in the coming weeks which will retain the interest for some time to come.
Cowcliffe continued their stroll into the top half of the table when beating Meltham A 6-2 with help from their 56-55 aggregate advantage and making it three straight wins in the process. Kirkheaton Con A and Lindley Lib shared the points 4-4 which was enough to lift the Kirkheaton team out of the relegation places but the Lindley Lib side remains unmoved in bottom place.
