Rest in Peace
A sad start to the New Year by announcing the passing of Michael Wood who was the President of Shepley Bowling Club.
Very sad but not unexpected news as Michael hadn’t been well for a number of years, but he always supported veterans' games and was a regular player up until 2017.
He was Chairman of the Club for many years and always attended committee meetings. His support for the club was tremendous and goes back more than 20 years. Michael was also the club groundsman for years, captain of the Huddersfield League B team and President for the last few years. A real gentleman with a great sense of humour.
