Roger Crowther Memorial 2025 Easter Monday Bowling Competition

The 2025 season sees the 4th Roger Crowther Memorial on Easter Monday, 21st April, at Longwood BC. This one-day competition offers great prizes, qualification for the Huddersfield Champion of Champions, and the chance to have your name on a prestigious trophy honouring a Colne Valley bowls legend.

If entries exceed 32, morning qualifiers may be held at other venues. Entry is just £5 to take part, please contact 07825 705 385.

Roger Crowther— one of the star turns of the season was undoubtedly Longwood and Yorkshire county bowler Roger Crowther It was Roger and out for all the others as he picked up the £1000 first prize and a gallon bottle of whisky in the Grant’s Scotch Whisky Floodlit Classic at the Star Inn at Failsworth — just after he’d had a £200 payday in the Brook Mills Garage competition at Meltham And of course he was a member of the Longwood side who got their hands on the Huddersfield League’s Subscription Cup for the fourth time in five years
