Winter League
With the announcement this week of two new League trophies being sponsored by generous League bowlers, it is time to take a look at the prime contenders for those awards. There is a long way to go but already some trends are appearing in the listing of the top bowlers in each of the three divisions.
The awards will go to the top bowler in each division based on the number of wins followed up by the greater 'Average' score. In all instances it is the combined Singles and Pairs scores that count. All these statistics are available on Bowlsnet at any time by going to 'Averages' and then on 'Winter League' to get the combined Singles and Pairs totals.
The Bowlsnet listing can provide up to the top 100 bowlers in each division but we limit it to the top 10 bowlers in this week's production below.
Assorted wild statistics:
Division 3 - 6 of the 9 teams have only lost one match all season.
Division 3 - last week Lindley BC B' became the first team to collect two drawn matches this season.
Division 1 - the only division without a drawn match to date.
There are 3 teams in the League with unbeaten records to date
