Winter League
A close look at both ends of the Division 3 table with 5 teams that could still be relegated as we examine their chances of surviving the last-day scramble. Not forgetting things at the top end where the only thing settled is that the leaders are assured of promotion but who gets the title and who claims the other promotion spot is still to be determined.

Despite the best efforts and an 8-0 win against bottom-of-the-table Hudd Rec Club A for New Mill B it is Denby Dale who look to win the Division 3 title by collecting 3 points or more from their final fixture next Wednesday. Denby Dale are already promoted which is the only thing settled so far this season in Division 3. The Dale go up against Springwood A who are desperate for the points to save themselves from relegation so they will be going all out for a good result as well.
The Springwood A team are making a fight of it and a good 4-4 draw with Lockwood Con A this week added to the previous two consecutive wins has raised spirits and hopes of survival. New Mill B still have a promotion target and 4 points from their final match against Brockholes A will secure that with Lowerhouses B poised to take up advantage of any slip-ups on behalf of their rivals
There are five teams that sit within the drop zone with the bottom two of Huddersfield Recreation Club A and Springwood A the unlikeliest survivors. Brockholes A and Thorpe Green C have the slight advantage at present but the meeting of Huddersfield Recreation Club A and Thorpe Green C is likely to be pivotal in determining the outcome. It would take a freak set of results next week to relegate Lockwood Con A but it is still possible and they will be keen to collect the 3 points that will ensure their survival at this level for another season.
