Team KO sees two heavyweights meeting

Veterans League

The first team competition of the 2025 Veterans League season opens up with the first round of the Team KO competition. This is for the 32 teams that finished the previous season as the top 32 teams from Divisions 1, 2 and 3. It is a handicap event with the format the same as for league matches with 4 singles and 3 pairs. The only difference being that the outcome is determined by the aggregate score and only in the event of a drawn aggregate scoreline does the game count come into play.

Longwood are the reigning Champions having beaten fellow Division 1 outfit Cowcliffe Lib in the 2024 Final. They have the hardest possible first defence of the title when drawn against the Division 1 League Champions Lowerhouses in the opening round. With the top two teams from last season's Division 1 table drawn against each other it will see one of the real heavyweights being eliminated at the first hurdle. Longwood have made the best possible start to the new campaign by winning their opening two fixtures to lead the early table.

There are no fixtures in the 10-Man League this week.
