The new Netherton weather experience

Winter League

Review of the Division 6 fixtures played at Netherton Con on Thursday

The weather remained very un-Netherton Thursday-like with a blue sky, sunshine and shadows as the new covered seating area remains untested to the wet soaking that we all know it is very capable of producing. One day soon maybe but meanwhile we will enjoy the new Netherton a little longer.

The top two teams in Division 6 both wrapped up 8-0 wins this week to go further ahead in the race to hold down the two promotion places. Almondbury BC B remain unbeaten after seeing off the host's representatives in this division. Mirfield are 10-points behind the leaders but 6 points ahead of the third-p[laced team. A whitewash win over relegation-threatened Huddersfield Recreation Club B ensured that they remain very much in the promotion mix.

Brockholes B bounced back from a first defeat of the season last week to beat 4th placed Springwood C by 6-2 and stay 3rd. Outlane moved out of the relegation places after beating New Mill C 6-2 and the New Mill side now takes over that second relegation place
