Kitkheaton Con bowler, Josh Brown, added the Colne Valley Merit title to his 2024 collection last Friday at Longwood BC.
After seeing off home bowler Dan Piercy in the quarter-final , the semi-final was an extremely tense affair after Wayne Moseley had come from 18-6 down to level at 18 all. ,The final was a comfortable 21-10 victory over Ashley Daykin (himself a four-time winner of the Merit)
Josh is having a top season having previously added the Sandall Classic and Marsh United KO title to his record this year. He next goes into the end-of-season climax event in 2 weeks time, the BCGBA Champion-of-Champions to be played at Owley Park on Saturday 28 September.
