Thorpe Green creep up on Division 1 leaders

Winter League

Review of the Division 1 matches played on Wednesday 27 November at Milnsbridge

Division 1 leaders Lower Hopton extended their winning run to four matches after beating Lindley BC A but it was a close affair. The match score was 6-2 but the aggregate score was 61-59 indicating the closeness with no loser scoring less than 18. Thorpe Green are emerging, unsurprisingly, as the main rivals to Lower Hopton and after a slow start to the season have moved into second place and intent on retaining their Division 1 title. A whitewash win over Lindley Lib A enabled them to move within two points of the leaders.

New Mill A are never far away from the top-of-the-table action and that is true this week as they sit in third place after a 6-2 win over Meltham who have three regulars missing at present through illness and holidays. Cowcliffe A beat Kirkheaton Con A 8-0 to overtake them in the updated table.
