Review of the Division 4 matches played on Monday 21 October

With the Division 4 fixture between Slaithwaite and Thorpe Green B postponed because of a clash with a Thorpe Green bowler's funeral there were only 3 matches that took place on Monday and they all ended as expected (by me). That makes a total of 7 matches played in Division 4 this season so far and everyone of them has finished with the same 6-2 scoreline.

Netherton Con A and Rastrick both made it two wins from two matches to go level on 12-points each at the top of the table. Couple that with a first win for Linthwaite Hall as they saw off the homesters from Primrose Hill Lib by that 6-2 scoreline.

The Slaithwaite v Thorpe Green B fixture has been rescheduled for Monday 4 November as that is a blank week in Division 4 as key admin and catering personnel are not available on that date. Therefore there will be no hot sausage sandwiches that day or any food at all but it is too good an opportunity to miss out on catching up with the fixtures. The intention being to put all three legs of the match on at the same time so if anyone fancies going along to act as markers they will be most welcome. If you intend going along to watch then be aware that it is all likely to be concluded by midday. Just a reminder that is on Monday 4 November.

I am grateful to Mike Ralph for these dozen photos from around the green last Monday.
