Today's Division 5 Qualifying Round of the new Pairs KO competition is to go ahead as scheduled after a morning green inspection.
Storm Eowyn has done its worse overnight but the green is in good condition and although it is windy there is no reason to put off today's matches.
Players are reminded to register at the green by 10.45am so that they draw can be completed to enable a prompt 11.00am start time. There are 13 entrants and if all turn up will mean that 10 bowlers will contest the Preliminary Round and there will be three byes. We are bowling down to two who will progress through to the Round of the Last 16 to be played again at Thorpe Green on Friday 14 February. Finals Day will follow for the final 8 survivors which will be staged on Friday 21 February.
