More bad news I am afraid with the passing this morning of Tony Emerson after a long illness. Tony passed away at his home in Honley with his wife Margaret (Mags) at his side.
Tony has been a good servant to the Veteran's League over a long period for as well as being the Almondbury BC representative for many years he was also the Team Manager for our Inter-District Away Team for many years only stepping aside last year. A most accomplished bowler and dedicated club man whose contribution went further than the Veteran's League stretching to the Cons League where he was a major administrator and to County duties as well.
Married to Margaret who held a number of positions in the Veteran's League and was always at his side whenever he was bowling or managing teams. Our heartfelt commiserations go out to Margaret and we all mourn the passing of a real bowling man.
