Veterans League
Preview of the 6-Man League matches scehduled for Monday 22 April.
Division 1 leaders, Lindley Lib A, have a difficult-looking fixture on Monday when they go to play 4th-placed Skel Windmill A. Both teams have won both of their opening matches so one of those records has to go tomorrow. Second-placed Brockholes A host last year's Champions, Marsh United A, who have made a stuttering start to the new season which is unlikely to get any easier at Brockholes. Slaithwaite will be aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the season when they travel to play Crosland Moor.
The 5th and 6th placed teams meet up at Netherton Cons where Thonsgbridge A are the visitors. Lockwood Con and Shepley A occupy the bottom two positions and will be looking for their first wins of the season against Paddock I&C and Golcar C&BC respectively. Waterloo have won one and lost one of their first two fixtures and have home advantage over Milnsbridge BC A who are still searching for that first win.
New Mill have not lost a game so far and take that maximum points Division 2 record to Lindley Lib B this Monday. Marsh Lib are poised to take advantage should New Mill slip up and they have a home fixture against Elland C&BC who have lost both of their opening matches to date.
Clayton West have also had a good start to the season and have to travel to play Greenhead Park A. Of the three teams that are still looking for their first win of the season only Linthwaite Hall have home advantage this week when Hemplow are the visitors.
Bradley & Colne have not set the world alight in their first matches in the League and with an away match at Longwood this week things don't get any easier. There are a couple of mid-table clashes and should the home teams win those then things will look brighter for Golcar Lib and Milnsbridge BC B.
Brockholes B and Denby Dale set the pace at the top of Divison 3 but the Denby Dale side will be strongly tested when third-placed Skel Windmill B visit them this week. The same for the Brockholes B team who have to go to play Primrose Hill Lib who have only played one match to date but won that so will be keen to preserve their unbeaten record. There are four teams looking for their first wins of the season and two of those teams meet at Holmfirth where Meltham are the visitors. There is a catch-up fixture on Wednesday when Meltham host Thongsbridge B.
