Brockholes A and Hemplow A are the top two teams in Division 3 and the only ones to remain undefeated after two weeks of the season. Both had 7-2 away wins this Tuesday as the Brockholes team beat Springwood and Hemplow saw off Paddock I&C. As both of these teams had won their opening matches it indicates that the top two are likely to remain there a little longer and they have already opened up a 3-points lead.
Linthwaite Hall sit at the foot of the Division 3 table but they don't look like they are nailed on for relegation to me. Their latest defeat was a 2-7 reverse at Almondbury Lib. This follows on from a same score loss at home to Springwood. But it is only by looking at the aggregate scores that you get an inkling that they are not a bottom-of-the-table team. This week their aggregate score was 119-121 and then factor in the previous week's aggregate scores of 120-124 do you realise how close they were to adding another 4 points to their total for the top aggregate scores in each fixture.
Slaithwaite are also floundering in the lower regions at present after two 3-6 losses with the latest being at home to Marsh Lib A. They are just below another team looking for their first win, Meltham B who lost 8-1 at Primrose Hill Lib on Tuesday. After a good opening day home win, Thorpe Green came down to earth when going down 1-8 away at Holmfirth A who sit third on 11 points.

There were 5 home winners this week in Division 4 with the odd one out being Huddersfield RUBC who won 7-2 at Thongsbridge B and they go top as a result. Marsh United B and Skel Windmill both sit one point behind the leader on 14 points after 7-2 home wins over Milnsbridge B and Netherton Con B respectively. That puts both of those teams in the bottom four along with Huddersfield Recreation Club and Meltham B who are two teams without a win between them.
David Brown Sports picked up an important first win since their promotion when winning their home match with Huddersfield Recreation Club by 7-2 which left the losers in the drop zone. Primrose Hill Lib and Kirkheaton C&BC A both claimed an aggregate total of 141 points, 6 short of the maximum. Whilst both won their fixtures, Primrose Hill Lib collected 8 points whilst the C&BC only got 6 points from their respective games.

Kirkheaton Con B and Lindley BC B both recorded second 6-3 victories to put themselves level at the top of the Division 5 table on 12 points. The Kirkheaton win came on the back of a 127-126 aggregate scoreline over New Mill B. Kirkheaton C&BC B were on the wrong end of the score against Lindley BC B.
On a day of close aggregate scores, Greenhead Park opened their home programme at their new Thorpe Green home with a 5-4 win over Holmfirth B courtesy of a drawn aggregate score of 121-121. There was only a 3 aggregate points difference (127-124) between Hemplow B and Broad Oak B as the home team ran out 6-3 victors.
First wins for Brockholes B and Marsh Lib B completed the Division 5 programme as they beat Almondbury BC B and Dalton respectively.
