Two teams dead-level at the top

Winter League

Review of the Division 2 matches played at Cowcliffe on Tuesday 3 December

Hanging Heaton A and Golcar Lib continue their battle at the top of the Division 2 table and go level as both preserve their unbeaten records. The teams are level on 40 points with only 11 chalks 'Aggregate For' difference to keep the matter tight. Golcar Lib won 8-0 over relegation-threatened Lindley BC B whilst Hanging Heaton were pushed to fend off the threat from Milnsbridge A with only a 4 points aggregate difference to ensure a 6-2 win for the leaders.

Marsh United and Lowerhouses A swapped places in the table after the Marsh team inflicted a first 8-0 defeat on their rivals and moved 4 points ahead of them but remain 10 points behind the top two. Clayton West had a whitewash win over bottom-of-the-table Lindley Lib B to move well clear of the drop zone.

Big matches next week as the top two go head-to-head which could decide the destination of the Division 2 title and the bottom two also meet up which will be as keenly contested as any Lindley derby match is.
